Why Oh My SAI?
Not knowing how to cope with COVID-19 anxiety, we turned to making face masks to donate to our frontliners. Through word-of-mouth (or should we say Facebook share and private message), we amassed a small following for our handmade masks. On top of giving them away, we now take and make custom orders and donate a portion of the proceeds to our chosen causes. When you shop with us, you help us help others!
We first donated to Leashes of Love Rescue, whose team readily helped us when our pupper, Karu, ran away. As overwhelmed pet parents, they were nothing but heroes reaching out to us to join the search and share resources! Luckily, Karu came home on his own. He is safe and well, and at the time of this writing, about to turn one year old.
Since then, we have helped out animal rescues back in my home country, the Philippines!
Wait, what's a SAI?
Hi, I'm Sai! It's my nickname taken from Cyril. Also, as you've guessed by now, it stands for small, actionable ideas. And with the stay home order, I've nothing but ideas!
I'm a self-taught fashion designer whose interest in sewing somewhat dwindled through the years. With the COVID-19 situation, I re-discovered my love for sewing as I made masks for families and friends at the frontlines. My boyfriend then encouraged me to make ones with my style, and sell them so we could continue donating. With the support of customers, we've made good enough sales to keep up and help some more!
